Sightings Report for July 19, 2017

Another successful day on the water! In the morning our fleet caught up with the Southern Resident orcas, L Pod as they headed out of the Juan De Fuca Strait back out to the open Pacific!

Humpback whales are taking over as we have seen many returning humpback whales from last season!! They continue to relax and feed in the Salish Sea, providing great encounters for our guests!!

Race Rocks ecological reserve is an important haul out sight for the local pinnipeds, and always a hit with the passengers! There are several species of seals and sea lions basking in the sun and resting on the rocks. The male seals were spotted sparing for territory, and possible access to the females.

Stay Tuned!!
