Sightings Report for July 16 2017

A great way to finish off the week with both orca and humpback sightings!! Low winds with a mix of sun and cloud made it easy to spot the exhales of cetaceans as they surface!

A Biggs orca (mammal eater) was spotted cruising through the strait near Otter Point and identified as T103, a male often seen traveling alone along the coast.

Our fleet also caught up with humpbacks feeding and relaxing near Race Rocks Ecological Reserve, giving our guests great photographs of their flukes!! One was also curious enough to approach and surface beside the boat, made for a great interaction!

A stop by Race Rocks Ecological reserve is always a hit as the chain of islands is littered with seals, sea lions, and eagles!!

Stay tuned for we encounter next!
