Sightings Report for July 3 2018

What a perfect day for whale watching!!!! The sun was shining all day with calm winds, and flat seas. Report of whales came in before our captains left the dock, so they couldn't wait to see who was in the area!

Our fleet encountered Biggs Orca (mammal eaters) northeast of Victoria throughout the day! There were several pods identified as the T175's, T176A's and T99's, travelling and scanning the area for prey! A great and rare experience, as these whales are not often seen in our area!!

By the afternoon some more pods joined the large group, and there was over 20 whales feeding in and around active pass! In this area there are strong currents with lots of nutrients and obviously good eating!

~ Stay tuned!
