Sightings Report for April 29th 2018

April is coming to a close, and after a weekend of overcast we hope the sun will come back soon! Captain Russ and Gordon were excited to leave the dock and discover what was happening in our local waters for the day.

No reports had come in, so the best bet was to head northeast. Bigg's Orca (mammal eaters) have been hanging out in the same area all week long! Sadly they had moved on, and were no where to be seen yesterday.

The Humpbacks are beginning to arrive for the summer!!! Our afternoon trip go the chance to encounter several individuals in the Juan de Fuca Strait. These gentle giants are here to gorge themselves on small zooplankton, to restore their blubber layer for the winter!

Stay tuned for what we see next!
