Sightings Report for August 5th 2017

Another hot and humid day in Victoria, but a welcomed refreshing breeze picked up throughout the day. It was a great start to the August long weekend, with sightings of several species of cetaceans!

Our fleet caught up with a pod of Biggs Orca (mammal eaters) as they scanned the Juna De Fuca Strait for food. It's great to see them in the area once again, here's to hoping they stick around for the weekend!

Humpbacks continue to feed in the Salish Sea with their calves, being very inquisitive and friendly by coming in close to check out our boats! We are so lucky that these gentle giants inhabit our local waters!!

Stay tuned for what today brings!!
