Sightings Report for August 24th 2017

Looking at the wind forecast for the day we were expecting more adventurous rides, but with the sun shining it helped keep things warm on the water. Our morning trips headed out eager and ready to see what animals were in the area!

Our fleet caught up with Biggs Orca (mammal eaters) as they searched the waters for prey! The T11's have been around for awhile now, so they must be finding a lot of mammals to snack on,. This pod consists of only two individuals; a mother and son, so they must work well together to corner and catch their target.

We also caught up with several humpback whales as they foraged in the Juna De Fuca Strait for small fish and invertebrates!

Stay tuned for what we encounter today!
