Sightings Report for August 9th 2017

What a great day to be on the water! In the morning the wind was down and the sun was shining, by the afternoon the temperature peaked into the 30's, making the cool breeze that rolls off the water refreshing!!

Our Captains caught up with Biggs Orca (mammal eaters) today as they scanned the area for prey. They were identified as the T18's, consisting of two mothers and their adult son's, this pod is arguably our staffs favorite to interact with! They were very playful, often breaching and slapping their fins on the surface, entertaining both themselves and our guests!!

We also caught up with the several Humpback whales feeding and relaxing in the Juan De Fuca Strait. These gentle giants are always a hit with our passengers! It is incredible to experience such large animals that move so gracefully through the water.

Stay tuned for what we spot today!
