Sightings Report for July 2, 2017

As the city recovers from yesterdays celebration the action remained in the waters surrounding Victoria, with several cetacean encounters throughout the day!

Our fleet caught up with a pod of Bigg's orca (mammal eaters) as they searched for food and socialized near the San Juan Islands. Our guests also got to interact with Humpback whales as they fed and relaxed in the Juan de Fuca Strait.

Increasing winds into the afternoon made for an adventurous trip, but our guests were great sports and enjoyed the ride in the large swells! Unfortunately our sunset tour had to be rescheduled or cancelled due to the increasing winds and deteriorating water conditions.

Stay tuned to see what we encounter next!!
