Sighting Report for June 14, 2017

June 14 was incredible!! In the morning despite the cloudy skies we had reports of Bigg's orca (mammal hunters) along with members of L pod (Souther Resident Orca) all in our area.

The morning expeditions got to encounter both our fish eating resident orca population, as well as, a thrilling hunt of harbour porpoise by a huge group of Bigg's orca.

This continued throughout the afternoon and well into the evening of nothing but epic encounters on calm seas.

I'd put that down as a successful day on the ocean
